Start Where You Are

This post is similar to the theme of yesterdays in that just control, do and use what you can to make your weight loss method as effective as possible. The quote suggests:
Start where you are.
Use what you have.
Do what you want.
So lets break this down line by line:

Start where you are - means to me that in this moment right now with everything the way it is the best time to start losing weight and taking control of your life is definitely now.

Use what you have - translates as find your strength and working them to get the best outcomes, it could also mean getting the most out your knowledge, support groups, shop and food.

Do what you can - With the knowledge you have what can you do to make this happen with full desire, belief and expectancy it is going to happen. You can also look at lots of different method to help you lose weight like The Gabriel Method, Weight Loss Attitude, Fat Loss Code, The Silva Method for Weight Loss, Hypnosis for weight loss and Program yourself thin to name a few.

So lets get started, both Can Do Craig and I here to help support you to lose weight in every way we can. You can also get our free eBooks and sign up for our eNewsletter here.

Your Body Affirmation

This image is such a great affirmation to use, I just really wanted to share it with you today:

"My Body is like canvas
Motivation is my brush
I control every curve
and make no excuses
I turn heads
and hold my head high
I have no bad angles
I am confident in every light
I break limitations
quitting is not an option"

I really felt this was a powerful and motivating affirmation to repeat to yourself over and over to get you in the right frame of mind to lose weight and take control of your body.

A Letter to The Body

Below is a letter to the body which really made Can do Craig and I think.
Dear Body,

I'm sorry I've treated you this way, feeding you the wrong foods and not taking care of you. I promise to do better and get you back to the best shape and fitness level you can be.

We can do it!

Sincerely,
Me

This letter is great at placing us in a point of acceptance from which we can build from, it sets out a plan with a clear goal for us to achieve and work towards and most importantly we will know when we got there. We will have reach our goal when we are back to the best shape we can be.

I hope you liked this letter as much as we at Mind Body Weight Loss do, it is great find from Tumblr.

Take care and speak soon

Non Judgement

Please be kind to yourself during your weight loss journey.

I found a really interesting quote today which helped me realise why this is important:

As rain falls equally on the just and the unjust, do not burden your heart with judgements but rain your kindness equally on all.

How I interpret this is to be kind to yourself through out your weight loss journey as this ensures that a happy path towards your destination is walked rather than one of upset.

The scales of justice is quite an apt image for weight loss because we need a balanced mind and approach to our weight loss.

Louise L Hay states "To spend our time berating ourselves for being too heavy, to feel guilty about every bite of food we eat, to do all the numbers we do on ourselves when we gain weight, is just a waste of time."

If we come from point of loving and accepting exactly as we are then we do not need to blame or judge our self.

Kind regards

Love and Acceptance for Weight Loss

I intended to write a whole section on why love and acceptance for weight loss is important when I searched for an image to support the post I found the image above, which is a really nice summary.

"Love means that you accept a person with all their failures, stupidities, ugly points, and nonetheless you see perfection in imperfection itself."
Zizek

I believe that the person is perfect and that it is some of our behaviours which are imperfect, but luckily for we can change behaviours but we can not change us as whole. I am a very strong believer that our behaviours and us, as a person, are very different things. Lets explain this further we could say to a child that they are silly, or we can say that the child behaved in silly way. The last statement enables the child to love them self as whole but change the silly behaviour.
"Love the person, Dislike the behavior"
This quote is so powerful and I believe that you as a person is whole perfect and complete and can love and accept yourself in the fullest. And seeing as we spend 24 hours every day with our self loving and accepting our self exactly as we are makes sense.

At this point if you have behaviours you dislike, be grateful and thankful for them for getting you to this point. A point where you love and accept yourself enough to making yourself the best you can be by changing your behaviours. In Buddhism they do not have a word for guilt, they see guilt as pointless. Love and accept that something in the past was done incorrectly but pledge with love, acceptance and kindness to yourself that in the future you would do it (behave) differently. Can you see the difference? Guilt is pointless it is just a way to beat ourselves up and stay stuck in the past. Loving and Accepting exactly where you are gives you a base to adapt your behaviour to make the future exactly as you would like it to be. The power is in the now.

So I love and accept you exactly as you are are, and now I hope you do too. By accepting yourself as you are now gives you a fantastic base to work from to lose weight

Kind regards

Mindful Mark
